The School of Environmental and Forest Sciences holds a student-organized Graduate Student Symposium each Spring. The Symposium is an opportunity for students to present their research or projects and to receive feedback from faculty and other students. Graduate students give presentations which usually consist of a PowerPoint presentation and a question and answer period. Audience members rate and comment on the presentations. Undergraduates may submit posters to be included in the Symposium poster session.
Many past Symposiums have provided resources such as abstracts of the presentations or videos. These resources help students create or refine their own presentations and are great examples of the kind of presentations expected of SEFS graduate students. Visit the GSS resources page for a list of resources from past Symposiums.
